The Art director is responsible for the artistic and visual aspect of a project (body of work, magazine, advertising campaign, audiovisual production). Its role can change according to sectors.
In the press and publishing media, the art director is in direct relation with the person in charge of the layout and with the graphic designers, and supervises the visual aspect of a publication.
In the advertising and communication sector in general, he forms a duo with the copywriter (in charge of the text). He is the intermediate between the client and the executing team (photographer, illustrator, graphic designer, printer, etc,…) who will produce the final product.
